Draco and the Seven Scales guides

A Game Boy-style pirate adventure: walk the islands, sail the ship, and collect seven scales. This site is the checklist and the first-day map — not a puzzle spoiler dump.

Start with these

Draco and the Seven Scales is Ice Goat Games' debut: a top-down pirate adventure in crunchy Game Boy-style pixel art. You play a captain who struck a bargain with a kraken to save what he loves most, then has to fetch seven scales from seven seas. The 1.0 build launched on Steam on September 18, 2026; the live patch on this site is 1.0.4.1, the Day 1 patch posted September 19.

You do not only walk. You also sail. Puzzles, dungeons and overworld routes are built so the same problem has a foot version and a ship version, and later dungeons keep stacking that idea.

What this site is for

Steam has no community guides yet and there is no official wiki. The useful facts that are public on launch week sit in three places: the store page, the 15 Steam achievements (with live completion rates), the official soundtrack track list, and the Day 1 patch notes. This site puts those next to what players are already reporting in reviews — runtime, which dungeon to hit early, DualShock glyphs — and labels which is which.

It is not a room-by-room spoiler walkthrough. Puzzle solutions are the game. The pages here are the map of what exists so you do not miss a set.

The shape of a playthrough

  1. Tutorial dungeon: Cephalo Cave. 78% of owners have finished it as of September 19, 2026.
  2. The overworld opens. You swap between walking the captain and sailing the ship.
  3. Six more dungeons, in an order the game lets you bend — players keep telling each other to reach Paradise early for a mid-dungeon power-up.
  4. Last scale, then the Heart of Draco. 5.2% of owners have a "beat the game" unlock on day two.
  5. Optional sets: every item, every cannon, every Siren Boon, every sea chart, every bird, every fish.

Ice Goat Games told the Steam forums the campaign is about 6–10 hours. Several day-one reviews put a completionist-ish run at 12–13+ hours. Both can be true; the extra hours are the optional sets.
